- Anesthesia: We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients. All of our patients will have pre-anesthetic blood work and receive IV fluids during their procedure. Using the most modern equipment, your pet's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
- Animal Population Control Fund (APCF): We participate in the State of NJ Animal Population Control Fund (APCF), a partially subsidized spay and neuter program for pets adopted at approved shelters.
- Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We will recommend a trainer or animal behaviorist who can do house call consultations for more difficult or ongoing problems.
- Boarding: The hospital does not provide boarding services. There are a number of capable pet sitters and kennels that we can recommend.
- Dental Radiology: Imaging the root and bone structure of your pet's teeth requires the use of a specially made low power dental x-ray unit capable of diagnosing abscesses and other dental disease not seen during a routine exam.
- Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.
- Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services using cardiology specialist consultants.
- Emergency Care: The Hospital is available to handle emergency care for your sick or injured pet. Please call ahead to let us know that you are coming. Also, call our main number (908) 735-9998 for after hour emergency instructions.
- Feral Cat (TNR) Trap, Neuter and Release Program: We offer our own TNR program to assist communities in controlling the feral cat population in Hunterdon County.
- Hospitalization Services: We can hospitalize your pet in the event that more intensive care is needed. Please be assured that visiting your pet during hospitalization is allowed and sometimes helpful to your pet.
- House Calls: In special circumstances, the doctor can arrange a house call for your pet.
- Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
- Pedicures (nail trims) can be scheduled with either a technician or with the doctor.
- Pharmacy: We stock a variety of medications at the hospital for your convenience. If you prefer to pick up your pet's medication at your family pharmacy we can write a prescription.
- Radiology Services: Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.
- Specialists: Many specialized services are available in veterinary medicine. We work with veterinary specialists in New Jersey if your pet needs orthopedic surgery, a MRI, radiation therapy or other advanced care.
- Surgical Services: Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. It features blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximetry, temperature and respiration monitors and a heated table. All pets receive pre-anesthetic blood screening, IV fluids and pain management. Our doctors and technicians will give your pet the individual attention you expect.
- Wellness Program: Wellness care is an integral part of your pet's health and consists of an annual exam, vaccines if needed, parasite prevention and blood screening for the "mature" pet. Our wellness program is individualized to your pet after an examination and discussion of his/her lifestyle, age, and breed.

Behavioral Medicine | Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. We can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client. |
Blood Transfusion | Blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners, and all blood is carefully screened for disease. |
Dental Care | Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. |
Emergency and Critical Care | In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center. |
Hospice / Euthanasia Services | Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client. |
Immunization and Wellness Care | We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages. |

Microchipping | Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery. |
Nutritional Counseling | Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active. |
Pain Management | Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. |
